The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S 4×4 has just been boosted to a more powerful and expensive level.

The Cayenne, after being unveiled at the Beijing Motor show now pushes out a head breaking 542bhp, it is capable of 62mph in under five seconds and a top speed of about 174mph. All this in a SUV which weighs about two-and-a-half tons.

After being unveiled in Beijing, Porsche claims it is a response to strong demand, “the emerging markets of Eastern Europe and Asia for exclusive sports-style SUVs with top quality physical handling dynamics.”

The old Cayenne Turbo S only had 514bhp, but the new one is even more powerful than the 911 GT2, with an extra 37 pounds feet of torque more than the old Cayenne Turbo. After modifying the exhaust system and ECU, Porsche have created the extra power which is now loadded into the new Cayenne Turbo.

The car has not had its 0-100mph figure released yet, but it’s expected to be around 12.0 seconds. The new Cayenne Turbo S officially gets 62mph in 4.8 seconds.

Porsche’s PASM active air suspension will keep this huge SUV on the road at high speed. The new Cayenne Turbo has 21in alloy wheels, quad tailpipes, body-coloured air intake grilles and body-coloured wheelarches.

The 2009 model Cayenne Turbo S will be available with a minimum size of 20in wheels, and with PCCB carbon ceramic break discs. This should allow you to stop as quickly as it moves.

The new Porsche Cayenne Turbo S should be reasonably more expensive than the old Cayenne Turbo because of the new power increases and features, auto insurance should go up a reasonable amount for this Porsche as well.

Price: Reasonably higher than the old Cayenne S Turbo
Auto Insurance: No price set
