Special-Edition Mercedes-McLaren SLR Speedster Spied

There were rumours about the Mercedes-McLaren special edition speedster version of the SLR 722 but now we have spy shots to prove that this model will be built to end off the supercars production with a bang.

There will be 75 examples of the final SLR produced and it will be a light-weight speedster version of the supercar. The limited edition model will have no roof and a small windscreen.

There will also be no features such as air-conditioning, power windows, but it will feature composite materials being used in the body panels to shave 440 pounds off of the SLR’s kerb weight.

The special-edition SLR will be able to accelerate from 0-186mph in just 26 seconds and the top speed will be 217mph, which is 8mph faster than any other previous SLR.
