Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover and Suzuki will not be attending the 2009 Detroit Auto Show

Recent news revealed that General Motors have withdrawn the plans to unveil the 2010 Buick LaCrosse and the production 2010 Cadillac CTS at the 2008 LA Auto Show.

General Motors have now canceled their press conference altogether, saying that and product launched be be overlooked due to the current headlines about their financial troubles.

Volkswagen have also canceled their plans to unveil their new roadster concept at the LA Show. It has been rescheduled to be introduced at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. Automakers have also announced that they will be cutting the spending on auto shows due to the toughest times in the industry, in decades.

Ferrari, Rolls-Royce, Land Rover and Suzuki Motor Corp., have also said that they will be withdrawing their presence at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. So this means none of these four manufacturers will not be at one of the largest shows in America.

Andy Fuzesi, general manager and co-owner of the L.A. Auto Show said, “Clearly, we’re affected, everybody is clearly reassessing where they spend their money.”

It is reported that this year has around 20% fewer exhibitors. This means that Ford Motor Company will have a bit more spot light time with their new introductions including the 2010 Ford Fusion, 2010 Mercury Milan and the 2010 Ford Mustang.
