The 2009 BMW 7-Series has made its US debut at the 2008 LA Auto Show. There will be two variants of the 7-Series, the 750i and the 750 Li. The new engine is a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 from the X6 xDrive50i.
The engine makes 400-hp with a maximum torque of 450lb-ft. It is connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox and BMW says that the fuel-economy is improved, but there are no specific numbers out yet. They said the BMW 7-Series will be the first model to features its own “Integrated Owner’s Manual.”
This means that the 2009 750i or 750 Li will not feature a physical book, instead it will be available electronically through the iDrive.
