Honda’s new FC Sport Concept for the 2008 LA Auto Show. The FC Sport is a hydrogen-powered, three-seat sports car concept. The design uses the Honda V Flow fuel cell technology which is in the FCX Clarity sedan. The FC Sport has a fuel cell stack which is located between the rears seats while the battery pack is placed low in the middle of the vehicle.
The electric motor lies just forward of the rear axle, and although there are no images of the interior, Honda claims that hte FC Sport features a McLaren F1-style seating layout with a racecar-like centre driving position, and there will be place for passengers on either side.
Dan Bonawitz, vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. said, “The Honda FC Sport explores how to satisfy automotive performance enthusiasts in a world beyond petroleum, people who love sports cars will still have a reason to love in a hydrogen-powered future,”
