There is a new photo of what seems to be a prototype version of the new high-performance Opel Insignia OPC, or the Vauxhall Insignia VXR in the UK. The picture was taken at an internal event.

What we can see from the image shows us that there is a new bumper which is apparently inspired from the Opel GTC coupe which was at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. The OPC prototype here also seems to feature new, wider wheel arches.

There are no details of what is lying under the bonnet, but it has been said that the engine might be a twin-turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 with around 320-hp and a Haldex AWD differential.

The Opel Insignia OPC prototype is expected to be at the Geneva Motor Show.
