Scion will soon expand their vehicle line-up with a new model. The new model will join the current xB, xD and tC vehicles.
Scion’s Vice President, Jack Hollis says that Scion will replace the tC within the new two years.
The tC is expected to get a major redesign as it was introduced 7 years ago, but this is not the excuse of other models from Scion.
“There are some that are going to be short. There are going to be three- to four-year life cycles. There are going to be some four to five, maybe five to six,” Hollis told Automotive News. “What we are looking at is: How can we add something fresh to the marketplace every year?”
Hollis said that Scion are adding their fourth model in about two to three years time. Hollis did not confirm what type of car it would be, or where it would fit in the range, but he said “there is room for a bigger sedan and smaller vehicles”.
There are reports that Scion are considering a mini SUV, and maybe even a hybrid model for under $20,000.
