Rumour: Dacia SUV to be based on the Nissan Qashqai

It was said that Dacia will unveil its first ever SUV after the successful Nissan Qashqai. The Dacia brand is currently owned by Renault, who are in an alliance with Nissan. The Dacia brand will exploit its relationship with Nissan by using many of the components found in the Qashqai.

The Dacia Duster concept was recently unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Show, and this concept will feature a 77kW 1.5dCi engine with 240Nm of torque. This is the model which will help the Dacia designers focus on the new model.
