Spy Shots – 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabrio

These images are the newest images of the drop-top CLK -SLASH- Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible. The new CLK will be renamed as the E-Class convertible and it was caught undergoing testing with minimum camouflage. The all new E-Class Convertible will feature a canvas rooftop.

The E-Class Convertible will be very similar to the Coupe and this means that it will have the same engine line-up as the rest of the range. So you can expect a big selection of petrol engines starting with a 1.8-litre turbocharged unit, a 3.5-litre V6 with 292-hp and a 5.5-litre V8 with 388-hp. There will also be an AMG model with 525-hpp and a 6.2-litre V8 engine.

Not only will you find petrol engines in the E-Class Cabriolet line-up, but you can also get two diesel units, a 204-hp 2.2-litre twin-turbocharged engine and a 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 with 231-hp.

It was claimed that the E-Class Convertible will drop its top at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.
