Tesla Model S to be unveiled on the 26th of March in prototype form

Tesla have confirmed that the new Model S will be unveiled in prototype form on the 26th of March. The price will also start at $57,400. The Model S will go on sale in late 2011.

The price reveals that the model will cost around half of the Tesla Roadster which beings at $109,000.

“Because of tax incentives and relatively inexpensive maintenance and refueling, the lifetime ownership cost will be closer to cars with far lower sticker prices,” the company stated.
