Toyota has been named the Best Brand in Japan

A new marketing survey in Japan has named Toyota the best brand. The Japanese automaker beat various companies such as Sony, Toshiba and Panasonic to obtain the title of best brand.

Other companies in the survey included Lexus, Nissan and Honda, which all made it into the top 10 best brands. The survey was run by Interbrand Corp. and it brands were ranked by their value in monetary terms. Toyota held the number 1 spot with a brand value of $31.57 billion.

Honda came in second place with a value of $17,67 billion, where Lexus came in 7th with a value of $3.23 billion. Nissan was ranked 8th with a value of $2.90billion.

Other companies in the top 10 included Canon, Nintendo, Toshiba, Sharp, Panasonic and Sony.
