The new Jaguar XJ for 2011 has once again been scooped. The new images show us what the prototype looks like on the Nurburgring… Well.. The images actually show us what a uranium transport vehicle would look like on the ‘Ring, seeing as Jaguar have added so much body cladding to disguise the vehicle.

However don’t be fooled by mis-coloured rims and radiation protection as the 2011 XJ will be a new model in many ways. Expect a new 3.0-litre V6 engine as well as a 5.0-litre V8 unit with about 510-horsepower. Of course these won’t be the only two engine choices on this model!

It’s been speculated that Jaguar are even planning a hybrid version of the XJ and this model should get around 48km on electric power with a 5liters per 100km fuel consumption over all.

We might be lucky enough to see Jaguar unveil the XJ at the end of June… That’s if they get the XJ’s radiation problem fixed.
