Aston Martin’s latest V12 Vantage has been caught on the German Nurburgring where it was racing around with a cloth roof.

Yes, this means that the Vantage will be in roadster form, and it was said that there is no doubt that this prototype had a V12 under the bonnet.

On the original model there is a 6.0-litre V12 engine, and this unit delivers 380kW with 420Nm of torque.

We’re expecting a slightly modified Roadster when compared to the coupe, as the weight difference will cause a stiffer chassis to support the power.

It’s already rumoured that there will only 500 Roadster units, as the coupe version is only limited to 1,000 units. We might see this model in Frankfurt for the show as well.
