Bentley Continental GT – Birkin Edition By MTM Tuning
Tuning News | Dean | May 28, 2009 at 14:33Motoren Technik Mayer, MTM, is a tuning specialist which has just modified the Bentley Continental GT. They have used the Continental GT to create what they call the Birkin Edition, which is a model that features power upgrades.
The power upgrades from MTM will benefit the Continental GT, GTC and the Flying Spur which will all be able to produce a final result of 650-hp and 795Nm of torque. The new power figures mark a 90 horsepower increase over the standard power, and this allows a 0-100km/h time of 4.9 seconds with a 0-200km/h time of 15.9 seconds. You will find a top speed of 331km/h on these models as well.
MTM did not do anything new to gain this power, as they only added a new exhaust system with throttle control and tweaked the ECU a bit.
The new exhaust is a four pipe system which gives of a new, more aggressive grunt. The tuner also added a F-Cantronic system which will electronically lower the vehicle by 35 mm in the rear and 255 mm in the front.
Of course power options cannot be added without new wheels, so expect 21-inch alloy wheels and new brakes. The package will cost 20,000 euros.
