Bentley are stepping up as a premium automaker, as they have realised that times are in fact changing. The company have said that performance is important, but fuel efficiency is more important at the moment. By saying this, they have released the news that they will now focus on high-efficiency and alternative fuel engines.
The British automaker has decided that all of their cars will soon run on petrol and ethanol, with the ethanol systems lowering the environmental impact tremendously. The new engine range will be a flex-fuel range, which should be a big selling point to many people that want change.
At the moment Bentley are already running a model which can use ethanol, and this model is the Continental Supersports.
Bentley have said that they will soon release a new powertrain which should feature a 40 percent reduction in fuel consumption when compared to the existing motors found in the company.
