GM’s New Police Specification Opel Insignia

The GM Special Vehicles division in the UK have found the cash to release a new police specification version of the Vauxhall Insignia. The police Insignia will be available in four-door sedan, five-door lift back and the Sports Tourer model.

There will be three versions of the car, the 2.0-litre 220-hp turbo model, a 260-hp 2.8-litre petrol model with all wheel drive and a 160-hp 2.0-litre CDTi diesel with front wheel drive.

The police Insignia will feature the usual police equipment, as well as Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) cameras, Automatic Numberplate Recognition (ANPR) system, roof lightbar, side alley lamps, sirens and a full on communication system.
