Nissan are getting ready to spawn a new baby… To the 370Z! The new smaller model is excepted to rival the Mazda MX-5, and it will be an open-top rear wheel drive two seater with some good looks and serious straight line performance.
Nissan will also take some the CR-Z hybrid styling into mind when creating this new model.
At the moment there is a gap in the range for this model, and this will be the first model to compete in this sector since the 200SX which was killed in 1998.
Expect a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with about 200bhp, and a 0-100km/h time of 6.5 seconds with a top speed of 140mph.
AutoExpress says that the roadster might be in showrooms by 2011.
