Spy Shots: Opel Insignia OPC Sports Tourer – Undisguised
Spy News | Dean | May 14, 2009 at 23:58
The Opel guys have been caught testing their new Insignia OPC Sports Tourer on the road. The new images show us the Audi S4 rival in a red colour as it dances around Germany with a new front end and two large intakes in the front, where at the back you will find a new rear bumper with integrated exhaust pipes.
The new images show a roof spoiler and a brand new set of alloy wheel, which should be in a size of 19-inches.
There will be the same engine as the Insignia sedan, which is a 2.8-litre V6 unit with a twin-scroll turbocharger, running on four-wheel-drive with an output of 325-hp and 400Nm of torque. Opel will push the power to the road through a six speed manual gearbox, and there will also be a new electronic limited-slip differential which has the capabilities to feed power to individual wheels.
Expect new brakes, along with a new suspension system.
A 0-100km/h time of about 6 seconds means that the Insignia OPC Sports Tourer means business.
