The Opel Insignia OPC Has Completed 10,000 KM Of Testing On the ‘Ring

Opel, a sub brand of General Motors’, has said that all of their OPC models have completed about 10,000 km on the Nurburgring which 20.8km long. The cars go on the ‘Ring before they go on sale so that they know that there will be minimal problems.

It has been said that the Opel Insignia OPC sedan has completed its final 10,000km ‘Ring challenge without any hiccups.

“The Insignia OPC sedan raced 487 laps for 12 days at some top speeds flawlessly. This kind of performance and quality is what we expect from all our Opel cars,” said Hans Demant, Managing Director of Opel.

Over the next few days we will see the Insignia Sports Tourer OPC go and do its 10,000km testing on the ‘Ring.

Refresher: Both of these models feature a 325-hp 2.8-litre V8 turbocharged engine with 4.4 transmissions and an electronic rear limited slip differential.
