The Toyota Supra ended production in 2002, and since then there has been so much speculation about a successor model. Well, we think we might have the answer to this.

The Japanese automaker unveiled a FT-HS Hybrid Concept in 2007, where a new Supra possibility was looking good, until Toyota said that a new sports car is low on their list of things to do.

Well… This might have changed, once again. 7Tune has announced that the Supra will probably come pretty soon, as the CEO of Toyota has changed and Akio Toyoda will probably push something like this forward.

The new Supra is apparently known internally as the 086A, and the first prototype is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The car will then feature a 3.5-litre V6 engine which will be connected to Toyota’s Crown Hybrid system which pumps out 400-horsepower to a rear-wheel-drive setup.
