Audi have confirmed that the A5 Sportback will be at the Frankfurt Show in September, and following this model will be the Audi R8 Spyder.

Those two models will be unveiled in Frankfurt, while the automaker will then introduce a new production version of the A7 Sportback to compete with the Porsche Panamera and Mercedes-Benz CLS.

It has now been announced that Audi will have to delay the redesign of the A8. The new 2010 A8 has been pushed back from Frankfurt to a new remote unveiling during December.

Audi do not want the A8 to be over shadowed by other automakers in Frankfurt, so they felt that a change in plans would correct this. It was said that the design was so important and so revolutionary that they feel that it is not just another auto show debut.

Yes, all of this does contradict the 2010 Geneva Motor Show unveiling.

Expect the model to go on sale during 2010.
