BMW has confirmed that they are creating a new, and more powerful version of their 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine that runs on diesel. The new 3.0-litre TwinPower Turbo diesel motor will replace the old 3.0-litre motor from the 735d, 335d and the X5 35d.

The new motor will pump out 306-hp with 600Nm of torque, while the old unit only had 286hp with 580Nm of torque. BMW has said that the new engine is not only more powerful, but also 4 percent more efficient in fuel economy and CO2 emissions.
