Buick’s LaCrosse For 2010 Will Now Benefit From A New Ecotec Engine

Buick has announced that they will add the new 2.4-litre four-cylinder Ecotec engine to their brand new LaCrosse for 2010. The new engine will feature good fuel efficiency with good performance and a direct injection system.
The 2.4-litre Ecotec will feature 136kW of power with 233Nm of torque. There will be a 20mpg city and 30mpg highway fuel consumption result.
According to GM’s vice chairman of Global Product Development, Tom Stephens, “Direct injection is a key component of GM’s ongoing strategy to use advanced propulsion technology to help us deliver more fuel-efficient cars today and in the future.”
The new Ecotec version will be released a bit later this year.
