Ferrari’s new F450, the F430 successor, has been delayed from the initial Frankfurt debut to a later release at the LA Auto Show in December. The latest car will be featured as a hybrid model, with a hybrid power train. This doesn’t mean that the model will be in hybrid form anytime, so don’t expect anything less than a big V8 to pump out power.

Sources have said that the there will be no new technology in this model, so this rules out the latest patents on twin-turbo technology, direct injection V8 technology and hybrid drive systems.

Insiders have said that the hybrid delay is due to the Italian automaker not being ready for eco-ness just yet.

The F450 will only be released as a Coupe, so this rules out a drop top for about 18 months, which means that you will have to buy the California.
