New 3.0-Litre Twin Turbo Diesel Motor For The Citroen C5 And C6

Citroen have announced a new diesel engine for their C5 sedan and Estate and C6 models. The new diesel engine will be a range-topping unit that features a displacement of 3.0-litres and a new direct-injection/common rail system.

The 3.0-litre twin turbocharged motor will have a power output of 240-hp and a maximum torque of 450Nm. The new V6 diesel will be connected to a six-speed automatic gearbox and it will allow a 0-100km/h time of 7.9 seconds in the C5 and 8.5 in the C6.

The 32-horsepower jump in power will also come with a CO2 emission level being reduced by 12 to 15 percent. Expect a 7.4-litres per 100km fuel economy with the new motor.
