New Jaguar XF Supercharged For The US Market
New Cars | Dean | June 30, 2009 at 16:28Jaguar has added a new supercharged XF model to their line up. The addition of the new model will try and close the gap between the standard XF and the XFR models. The XF Supercharged will be priced at $68,000, while the XF costs $57,000. The XFR is currently priced at $80,000.
The XF Supercharged will feature a de-tuned version of the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 which will deliver 470-hp with 424lb-ft of torque.
This engine will get the XF from 0-100km/h in only 4.9 seconds, which is just over half a second quicker than the standard model, and about 0.2 seconds slower than the XFR. The supercharged V8 XF will also benefit from Jaguar’s new Adaptive Dynamics suspension control system, and an Active Differential Control which will change the rear differential.
The outside will have several new badges so that you can distinguish the new model. The XF Supercharged will have a new set of silver-gray painted brake calipers, a chromed exhaust set and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside of the new Jaguar XJ Supercharged you will find contrasting stitching with a new unique wood trim. There will be a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with HD radio, and also a heated steering wheel.
Sales will start in October.
