It has been reported that Renault might introduce a brand new concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new car will apparently feature at the show alongside the five-door hatchback study which will be called the Renault Megane EV, and the Kangoo EV.

Both of these models will be ready for production during 2011.

Chrisitan Steyer, the Renault C-Segment development head, said that Renault will introduce something new in Frankfurt, “The key is to do this without frightening customers away. Customers must be tempted, and not rushed too fast,”

Steyer went on to say that there might be new designs in the future, but for now, they want to be realistic with the cars that they bring to the market.

The new EV is apparently based on the Renault Clio’s platform. Expect loads of new electric equipment to be unveiled by Renault at the upcoming Frankfurt Show in September.
