BMW will unveil production versions of the ActiveHybrid 7-Series and X6 Concepts from 2007. The two hybrid will be using a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine with 407-horsepower and 600Nm of torque. There will be the addition of an electric motor which will push out 20hp and 210Nm of torque.

The hybrid system available on these cars will allow for the cars to run on the electric motor only, or with the petrol engine as well. The fuel-economy is said to be around 10 to 15 percent better than that of a normally powered vehicle.

BMW has said that they will also unveil their new eco-friendly sports car called the EfficientDynamics Vision. There will also be other premiere in Frankfurt, but right now these are the important hybrid releases.

It was said that BMW will, for the first time, reveal models from all three brands (BMW, MINI & Rolls-Royce) under one roof.
