First Shot Of The Soft-Top Audi R8 V10

The poor quality image here is the best proof of the soft-top Audi R8 which is on the way. The undisguised drop-top R8 will feature a fabric roof which will keep many lines from the original coupe model. There will however be the removal of the aluminium side ‘blades’.
Audi has apparently also said that some dealerships are taking deposits for the new soft-top supercar. The chassis will be expected to be strengthened to handle the loss of the room. There will be the addition of the roll over bars behind the seats as well.
According to the dealership taking orders, the price will be set around 105,000 GBP where the only engine option will be the 5.2-litre V10. This model will probably be revealed in Geneva during March 2010.
Although there are rumours and ads flying around the web, Audi has not yet confirmed the production of this car.

I think this will be shown at Frankfurt. I saw a hollywood star driving this car sometime back in another site. They are shooting promos, that much is certain.
I hope it is unveiled at Frankfurt.
The car really does look super hot. You can see that this model was made for drop top form
