A Gumpert Apollo has been caught going around the Nurburgring in Germany. The Apollo featured here does house a slightly different body kit, but it doesn’t feel like this is enough evidence to say that there is a new Sport model coming.

The Gumpert Apollo Sport is the latest model produced by the company, and it was unveiled at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. The Sport gets from 0-100km/h in around three seconds with the 800-horsepower bi-turbo V8 engine.

The top speed is set around 360km/h and it only weighs in at 1,200kg.

The Apollo Speed is another model which is pretty fancy. The Speed gets from 0-100km/h in 3 seconds and 200km/h in just under nine seconds. The Apollo Speed was revealed at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show where it has a new look and new materials for the body.

Gumpert’s Apollo caught in the images feature a new roof air intake and a giant rear wing.

We’re not sure what these images mean, and we’re hoping that they point to a model that will be ready for 2010, or maybe even a teaser for the Frankfurt show.
