Kind-Of-Leaked News & Images On The Jaguar XJ For 2010

Wow! So today marks the official release of the Jaguar XJ and to prove that life is mostly unfair there has been a truck load of publicity about the all new XJ’s leaked images. A few sites do get preference from automakers where they get to release information before the rest of us.

Now, most of us feel that this is unfair, the automakers probably do not care. So with this being said, a few images were leaked and Jaguar decided that they will throw a fit about this by threatening various sites about legal action and what not.

We do have the official-leaked images of the XJ, but we cannot publish them all. We will however only publish two images that reveal what the car looks like, along with a few details. The official unveil will be tonight around 20:15 London Time. The official site is available here.

It’s now time to talk a bit about the new XJ.

The teasers and spy shots have been going on for months now, and we’re fed up. We are so happy that the time has come to reveal this model.

The Jaguar XJ has been promised to be a class-leading model that will challenge the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-Series. The XJ will use an aluminium body architecture with next-generation technology that will be filtered out into new Jag models.

Engines will come in the form of a new 202kW 3.0-litre twin turbo diesel with 600Nm and a 5.0-litre V8 with a natural aspiration set up. There might also be a supercharged 380kW version called the XJR coming in the future.
