New Details & Teasers Of The Mercedes-benz SLS AMG Gullwing

New details and images of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Gullwing has arrived. The new model is expected at the Frankfurt Motor Show where it will feature a price of €150,000. The SLS Gullwing will be as modern as possible and it will have a roof-hinged door set that was last used on the 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL.

Designer Hartmut Sinkwitz, formerly in charge of design at Smart, said “The proportions should be consistent,”

The aero plane inspired SLS AMG was designed with new technologies and other features built in to the inside for maximum luxury and efficiency. The model is not a stripped out supercar and in fact it is completely opposite to this.

Expect features such as a new stereo, Bluetooth, climate control, COMAND, and a shifter that will be detailed with carbon fibre trim. There will be aluminium pedals and the use of aluminium on the pedals, vents, gauges and the steering wheel.

There will be a multi functional steering wheel with a computer display between the gauges. The seats will come in various colours as well.

When talking about the exterior, Sinkwitz says, “..we have designed an extra steep A-pillar so the driver’s field of view is not restricted.”

Mercedes-Benz will include a 571-hp V8 engine with 650Nm of torque. There will be a top speed of 315km/h and a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.
