Acura Are Now Focusing On More Fuel Efficient & Hybrid Engines Only

Acura has said that they will be moving away from big, powerful engines as they are aiming to try and impress the United States government with fuel-efficient engines that will meet the new fuel standards.

The V8 powerplant from Acura has been delayed indefinitely, where the rear-wheel-drive platform will apparently have the same fate. Honda has said that they are already working on plans for greener models, and this will include hybrid and more efficient combustion engines.

Acura are aiming to meet the new regulations, while still pleasing the government where they will hopefully earn some cash for future technologies.
