New Corvette C7 For The Year 2012? Sounds Good

General Motors has announced that they will start production on a new C7 Corvette around April 2012, where the model will then be ready during 2013. The details are currently very limited, but it was said that the new C7 will have a front engine layout, similar to the current model. The news of the front-engine layout denies all previous rumours which stated that the new ‘Vette will have a mid-engine layout.

Styling on the new C7 might be similar to that of the Stingray concept which was at the recent Chicago auto show. The Stingray also played a small part in the Transformers II movie.

Expect this new ‘Vette to be lighter, and hopefully faster where it will feature something awesome like a 450-horsepower engine.
