Hyundai Will Unveil Their New i10 Electric At The Frankfurt Show

Hyundai’s new i10 Electric will be on show later this month at the Frankfurt Motor Show where it will be in production-ready form. The new i10 Electric will go on sale in South Korea during the second part of 2010.

The i10 hatchback will have five doors, along with a 49kW electric motor and 16kWh lithium-ion polymer battery packs.

The driving range has been set to around 160 kilometers, and it will have a top speed of 130km/h. The i10 Electric can be charged by a 220V household outlet, where the charging can also be boosted by a 415V industrial strength current.

It was said that a 100 percent charge on the 220V outlet would take about five hours.
