Magna Will Drop Around 10,500 Jobs At Opel

People should start to worry that Opel’s future might not be as sweet as originally proposed. The new owner, Magna & Sberbank has announced that there will be a job cut of 10,500 people in the Europe market. It was said that nearly half of those jobs will be cut from the German market alone.
This is exactly what the government didn’t want, however it was imminent that it would happen. The cuts were apparently part of the Magna International deal, which for some reason everyone voted for. The RHJ deal was said to be easier and more effective, where it probably would have caused for less jobs to be cut. Well, that’s how we see it, but then again, who are we?
GM recently announced that Magna is in charge as they bought a 55 percent stake, therefore Opel will have to suffer through thick and thin.
