Audi has been caught testing their new A8 sedan for the 2010 year. The new A8 caught testing here is covered in a black and white camouflage that will try and elude us of its styling, and design.

Audi’s new A8 will have an extended A4 platform where the body will have aluminium and magnesium parts for an overall lightweight. Lightweight will count towards improved dynamics, along with better fuel efficiency and most important, better performance. This is a crucial factor in the design of the new A8.

The front end will feature new LED daytime lights, that have a mean look to enhance what you would normally feel towards the car. Although the front is pretty camou’d up, we can see that Audi has changed quite a bit.

Inside will have a new gear cluster, and center console. This section has been slightly revamped, and there won’t be too many changes to put old buyers off.

Rumours state that the engines will be the same as the current model, meaning, a 2.8-litre petrol V6 and a 4.2-litre V8 FSI. The diesel engine, a 6.0-litre V12 TDI, is still under construction. There will be FWD and AWD layouts available, and of course Audi will add their quattro all wheel drive system.
