VW Planning To Partner Up With Varta Microbattery In Connection With New Lithium Ion Units

Volkswagen has said that they are setting up a partnership with Varta Microbattery GmbH in connection with a new, more powerful lithium-ion pack. The new li-on batteries will be used in future electric vehicles. VW has said that the project will run for about four-years.
VW has said that the main goal of the project is to continue research and development in lithium-ion technology which would make it more competitive and cheaper.
