Ferrari & McLaren Support The BMW-Sauber Entry For 2010

Ferrari and McLaren F1 has said that they have absolutely no problem with the new BMW-Sauber team being the 14th addition to the grid. In fact, it was said that the two big names would support the addition of more teams.
The reason for the 14th team is due to the sell-out with the Swiss company and BMW taking so long that the FIA has awarded the 13th slot to Lotus F1. A few weeks after the Lotus F1 team was awarded the slot, BMW’s partnership was officially replaced by Qadbak.
“Our position is that we wouldn’t wish to block Sauber who are an established FOTA member. If it gives clarity to Sauber, I think it would be right to agree to there being 14 teams in the event that one of them is Sauber. But I think 14 is too many teams, frankly,” said McLaren’s boss Martin Whitmarsh.
While many teams do support the 14th team, a few do not. One team, namely Williams, has said that they are against the team rejoining in 2010.
