Mitsubishi Updates The EVO X For The Japanese Market

Mitsubishi has launched a new 2010 version of the Lancer EVO X for the Japanese market. The changes for the JDM include new side skirts, as well as the use of plastics in the front. The use of plastic alone will drop the weight by a staggering, yet replaceable, 1.5 kilograms. The inside will house a new LCD screen between the speedometer and tachometer, as well as improved insulation and some minor tweaks.

The Jap-automaker has said that they will drop the five-speed ‘box for the new GSR Premium Edition which will only come with a twin-clutch six-speed SST layout.

Pricing will start at 3,150,000 Yen (about $35,420 or €24,100) for the base RS model.
