Wanna see something funny? Check out the new i-MiEV Cargo hybrid. You might be wondering why we say its’ funny, but it’s just that, erm, the front looks weird. Well, that’s our thoughts anyway.
Well, down to the point we have a new Cargo version of the original i-MiEV city car. This Cargo-tastic hybrid model will have funny styling from the city car, along with a new ‘box’ for boxes at the back.
The rear compartment will be 1,350mm wide, 1,180mm deep and 1,100mm high. There is a flat floor, thanks to the wheels being situated at the back.
Power wise there will be a 330-volt lithium-ion battery system to power an electric motor situated under the floor. Power figures are set at 47kW and 180Nm of torque, and this will go to the rear wheels.
