Tokyo 2009: The Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept — LIVE

The new Subaru Hybrid Tourer Concept featured at the Tokyo Motor Show might be the new design style that Subaru are willing to move towards. Past rumours have said that Subaru are looking to build a successor to the SVX using the Hybrid tourer as a base.

The Hybrid Tourer features all wheel drive with a direct-injection 2.0-litre turbocharged flat-four engine. The motor will be connected to a pair of electric motors which will run on each axle. Subaru will use a lithium ion battery to power the engines.

The four-seater Hybrid Tourer will be able to run on petrol or electric power alone, where a combination of both is also an option.
