VW Releases The Pricing On The US Spec 2010 Golf GTI

Alongside the release of the pricing for the Golf 6 TDI and petrol variants, VW has announced full information on the 2010 GTI MkVI. The 2010 Golf GTI will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with direct injection. The power will be set at 200-horsepower (150kW) with 207lb-ft (280Nm) of torque. These figures are the same as the 2009 model, however they are 10-hp less than the European spec GTI.
Acceleration, when connected to the six-speed manual gearbox, will be 6.8 seconds for the 0-100km/h spring, where the top speed is limited to 209km/h. The fuel consumption is set at 11-litres per 100km in the city and 7.5-litres per 100km on the highway.
When VW connects this 150kW engine to the six-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox you can expect a 0-100km/h time of 6.7 seconds along with a fuel consumption being bettered by about 1-litre per 100km for both figures.
Pricing on the US Spec VW Golf GTI with two doors and a the manual gearbox is set at $23,990, while the DSG four-door model will start at $25,690.
