Keating supercars has announced that they own the world’s fastest car, the TKR supercar. The details are currently limited, however we do know that the TKR is powered by a massive 7.0-litre engine with a huge amount of 1800-bhp (1342 kW). Keating are pretty silent about the stats, however sources are suggesting that the new engine will come from Chevrolet, in the form of the LS7.

The TKR was capable of hitting 260.1 mph (418 km/h) on the Salt Lake Flat in California, and this is only 3 mph (5km/h) faster than the SCC Ultimate Aero, and 7 mph (11 km/h) faster than the Bugatti Veyron.

If Keating can obtain the same results once more they will receive the Guinness Book of World Records title.

According to Tony Keating, founder of Keating Supercars based in Manchester, “The Keating TKR realizes our ambition to take on the world’s finest supercars and win. This car rivals them all for looks, handling, performance and exclusivity. And best of all, it’s British.”
