Reports around the Mercedes-Benz C-Class state that the company is in fact planning to replace the CLC with a real-deal C-Class Coupe. The replacement will occur around 2011, and the C-Class Coupe will then not only replace the CLC, but also the CLK — which was discontinued earlier this year.
“We went back and studied what made our coupes so popular in the past. If you look at some of the more successful two door models Mercedes-Benz has produced you can see a direct relationship between them and their four door stable mates,” an inside source said.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will have a short life span, and after its release the company should replace it in four years time.
