More Michael Schumacher F1 Rumours…Formula 1 | Dean | November 26, 2009 at 19:01
Blah blah blah, that’s all we read about Michael Schumacher speculation at the moment. The German driver retired a few years back as he already won the championship seven times and he felt that his run was simply over.
New speculation arrives every day, and it states that the German might once again make a return to the sport. Willi Weber, the Manager for Schumi decided that rumours revolving around a Mercedes GP return would definitely spice things up.
“His neck is also completely fine, just like his entire psyche,” Weber added. “He could drive for victories.”
Despite these little hints from Weber, Niki Lauda, an old-time F1 driver, said that he doesn’t feel like Michael will make a full comeback to the sport.
Referring to the rumours, the 60-year-old Austrian said: “I don’t believe that there is one single grain of truth in them, at least from all the signals that I get.”
While it’s completely understandable for him to return in Massa’s place; a return for another team isn’t in the cards.
Niki said something which we completely agree with: “Why then he did stop racing in the first place?” he told F1’s official website. “But that is my personal opinion.”
If he wanted to race, he would. Michael has a good thing going with Ferrari and we’re pretty sure that by racing for Mercedes GP he will jeopardize a deal like that? Eh, beyond us.
