The BMW X5 M & X6 M SUV’s Have Been Priced For The South African Market

BMW has announced that the X5 M and X6 M models will indeed hit the South African market. The new high-performance SUV’s will feature all-wheel-drive with new driving dynamics as well as an athletic design.

The power will come from a 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 engine which pumps out 408kW with 680Nm of torque. There will be a 0-100km/h of 4.7 seconds for both of these models. Both models will be connected to a 6-speed M Sports Automatic gearbox.

Along with the engine upgrades you will also find a new suspension setup, Dynamic Performance Control, the Servotronic steering system and brakes with four-piston fixed calipers for the front and floating calipers at the rear.

Cosmetic changes will include a new bodykit with front and rear bumpers, rocker panels, side gills and quad exhaust tail pipes. Expect 20 inch allow wheels and a new interior with M-branded sport seats and leather steering wheel.

Pricing will start at R1,225,000 for the X5 M, while the X6 M will start at R1,260,000.
