Volkswagen Polo R Might Arrive In 2011

Volkswagen will apparently launch a Polo R after they are finished releasing the Scirocco R and Golf R models. The reports state that the Polo R will arrive around 2011-2012 where it will use a turbocharged 1.4-litre TSI engine with 190-horsepower (142 kW).

Specifications could include a top speed of 230km/h, while the average fuel consumption would be about 6.5-litres per 100km. The price is expected to be around 26,800 euros and this should allow the company to fill a lower-range market that seeks mediocre power and attractiveness.

Hopefully this model would include leather seats, and actually be a worth while alternative to the GTI.
