Audi Has Said That There Will Be An A7 For The US Market

North American’s can expect to see Audi’s new A7 hit the market by around 2011. The production version of this car will be related to the Audi Sportback Concept which was at the 2009 Detroit Show earlier this year. Pricing on the new model is expected to be over $80,000, which is a lot of cash for something with a rear-end this ugly.

Johan de Nysschen, an Audi exec said that they “recognize too that there is a sizable enough cluster of customers in that same segment who are ready for a more avant-garde design.”

Following all of this, the exec said that an S8 model is in the pipeline, along with other high performance models.

“I think it’s pretty safe to assume that an S model is in the wings,” he told an Autoblog reporter. “We always have a high-performance version. And that, of course, will be in the normal wheelbase version.” he added.

The Audi A5 Sportback won’t reach the American market.
