Hyundai’s Theta II for the Tucson will not feature direct-injection, and the power is only set at 176-horsepower with 168lb-ft of torque.
The other engine for the Hyundai Tucson range will be a new four-cylinder which is connected to an automatic gearbox. This model will use front wheel drive and it will offer a 23/31mpg fuel economy when driving in the city or on the highway.
Hyundai’s all wheel drive models will boast a 21/28 mpg fuel rating for the city/highway.
More engines will come after the launch, where pricing will start under $20,000.
